30 Days into 2013

To my friends who started out 2013 with a goal to live a healthier life:

How are you doing?

Are you putting it off til tomorrow?

Still claiming that you can't afford to join the gym?  Can't afford to shop in the healthier section of the grocery store?

The #1 reason, I hear from people is "I can't afford it".  I know that in the first 30 days of 2013 you have spent money on something that you could live without, that could be the baby step towards a healthier you had you spent the money differently.

I promise you that a new sweater,
a new handbag, those sassy black boots,
a new chair for your living room or
 new carpet in your bedroom
won't add years to your life.

Find someone to be your accountability partner - to be your cheerleader - to be that voice that says "tomorrow is a new day" when you get discouraged.

Living healthier isn't easy, but it is worth it if it means you get to add years to your life
- to watch your kids grow,
to see your grandchildren,
to travel the world with your spouse.

1/12 of the year is complete, so what are you waiting for?
